thesis, goals and complications

Thesis kernels:
Mills campus. Night. Toyon meadow. On every walkway to MH, seven women stiltwalking to the building. Also, sound-spectres in the woods -- small sounds that draw attention, no louder than a frog chorus, but made by humans. These "herd" people closer to the house and to the stilt-walkers.

MH. Haunted house. Haunted by live sounds. Audience instructed to walk towards sounds they here...begins and ends with piano. In-between, hauntings. Apparitional woman on one of the landings.

Actors: Actors video or twitter-feed the performance from their perspectives with multiple live feeds into some outlet somewhere in Oakland that lots of people can access cheap...

Goals: Turn thesis into spectacle of mystery and wonder.

Complications: Money. Time. Equipment. Permission. Stiltwalking. Stilts. I may chuck it anyway, since I have one brand new raw beginning of a play. Or maybe I will just take the old one and rewrite it again and again and again and again and again. You can see how I approach things. The complications are not only external.

I look forward to seeing what everybody's working on...
